RESOURCES/SUPPORT

  • UCLA Basic Needs provides resources and services, information about on-going research that impacts students across California, and be up-to-date on new initiatives, programs, and events around campus to make sure the UCLA community is secure for food and basic needs.
  • UCLA Black Bruin Resource Center
  • Bruin Resource Center (BRC) specializes in connecting former foster youth, undocumented students, transfer students, veterans, students in recovery, and students with children, with needed support.
  • Center for Accessible Education (CAE) helps students with permanent and/or temporary disability by facilitating academic accommodations and providing access to the numerous educational opportunities available to students at UCLA.
  • Community Programs Office (CPO) helps students from historically marginalized communities through student-run outreach and retention programs, including a food closet for any UCLA student who may be experience hunger and/or struggling to attain food due to financial hardship.
  • Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) All registered UCLA students are eligible for same-day clinical consultation and help with referrals, linkage, treatment recommendations, and coordination of mental health care and support regardless of insurance plan or current residence..
  • UCLA Dashew Center provides resources for UCLA’s  international scholars and students.
  • UCLA First To Go serves as a resource hub to assist current UCLA undergraduate students as they navigate the campus and provides support in building community to promote the success of all first-generation college students at UCLA.
  • Graduate-Undergraduate Mentorship (GUM) bridges graduate/professional school and undergraduate students through mentorship. All UCLA undergraduate students may apply, GUM hopes to help marginalized students (e.g. first generation, undocumented, queer, underrepresented ethnic communities, etc.), who plan to apply to graduate programs in education, humanities, neuroscience, psychology, public health, public policy, sociology, social welfare, and urban planning.
  • International Education Office (IEO) Diversity and Identity Abroad supports the many identities of our students who enrich their education through study abroad
  • LGBT Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education and advocacy services supporting intersectional identity development, well-being, in an open, safe, and inclusive environment for UCLA’s LGBTQ community.
  • Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) offers mindfulness meditation classes, workshops, and free online guided meditations that can help students, staff, and faculty reduce stress and relax.
  • Resilience Peer Network (RPN) is a collective of UCLA undergraduate and graduate students trained to support fellow students. RPN’s fully trained Certified Resilience Peers can lead drop-in support groups for students through a research collaboration with the UCLA Depression Grand Challenge.
  • Resilience In Your Student Experience (RISE Center) a holistic well-being hub that provides programs, trainings, and self-directed resources to foster resilience, connection, and well-being
  • Resources for Racial Trauma
  • Screening and Treatment for Anxiety and Depression Program (STAND) can assess whether students are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression and offer free treatment options using their mental health tracker.alth care and support regardless of insurance plan or current residence.
  • UCLA Transfer Student Center provides transfer students with helpful resources, timelines and events to help them navigate their way at UCLA.
  • Undergraduate Research Center (URC-Sciences) promotes undergraduate student research, and can connect students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds with programs and resources to help them pursue research.
  • OMBUDS Services helps UCLA community (students, faculty, staff and administrators) with assistance in resolving conflicts, disputes or complaints on an informal basis.
  • Evening Escorts Community Service Officer escorts are available free of charge to walk with students, faculty, staff or visitors 365 days a year from dusk until 1 a.m. between campus buildings, local living areas or Westwood Village. T: (310) 794-WALK (9255) 
  • Safe Ride Service UCLA Safe Ride provides a safe means of transportation around campus during the evening hours. The service is free of charge and available to all UCLA students, staff, faculty and visitors, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 pm–11:00 pm T: (310) 825-1493
